Technische beschrijving Doctor Who 12th Doctor sonic screwdriver remote control
Fortunately, after the 10th Doctor regenerated, the TARDIS also spit out a brand new sonic screwdriver. An improved version with retractable clamps, of course, which is also used by the 12th Doctor. The only thing that has gone unnoticed so far is that the TARDIS has produced a few more sonic screwdrivers, which you can now purchase. Although their power is not quite enough to manipulate door locks or credit cards, it is certainly enough to control all devices that can be operated via infrared.
Function and modes
Your new sonic screwdriver has four modes, which you select using the button on the top:
Programming and instructions
The sonic screwdriver has three memory modules, each of which can store 13 gestures or functions. This means you can save a total of 39 individual commands. The universal remote control takes over the function directly from the normal remote control of the device that you want to control using sound. How exactly this works is explained in the enclosed detailed, illustrated instructions in English explained. All possible gestures and their execution are also explained here, e.g. rotating clockwise, which is ideal for increasing the volume. :)
The instructions also contain a detailed construction plan of the sound screwdriver (see photo) with all the technical details, which demonstrates the technical superiority of the Timelords and adds a decorative touch to any earthling dwelling.
Material and accessories
The sonic screwdriver is of course made from Gallifrey's precious ores, i.e. partially copper-plated aluminum-copper-zinc, non-slip rubber and high-quality plastic with the look of ceramic. The exact composition can also be found on the construction plan.
If there's no room in your jacket pocket - or if you're not wearing a jacket, which we can't imagine - you can either put your sonic screwdriver in the holder of the TARDIS or set it up decoratively with the enclosed base and watch it Morse code. :)
What the sonic screwdriver still needs are a few terrestrial power cells, namely two AAA batteries, which are not included (logically, after all, the TARDIS doesn't run on piddly Earth microcells).
As the TARDIS technology can hardly be copied, it is of course an officially licensed product.
