Anyone who has ever been to a planetarium knows how fascinating it is to disappear completely into the endless expanse of the universe and fly around between planets, asteroids and the like. Unfortunately, a planetarium takes up quite a lot of space and we probably don't even want to know the price of the gigantic projector. But fortunately there are other ways to shrink parts of the universe for home use. :)
For example the "Eco Wood Art" wooden kit "Planetarium"! This set contains 534 laser-cut wooden parts that you can use to build your own planetarium! You don't need any glue, just a little patience and the illustrated instructionsthat come with the set. We also recommend using pliers and a cutter or penknife to ensure smooth assembly.
The result is a mechanical model of our solar system that can be set in motion by turning a crank so that the planets rotate around the sun. Short texts on some parts provide additional information about the celestial bodies and, of course, all the planets are also labeled. This makes the planetarium perfect for introducing young nerds to astronomy in a playful way!
Please noteThe kit is aimed at advanced builders, as some of the delicate components need to be assembled with a little force. Too careless an approach can irreparably damage the parts. The old rule applies here: less (force) is more.
