I can teach you how to bottle glory, concoct prestige, even cork death... (Professor Snape)
Snape may have been laying it on a bit thick with this speech back in Philosopher's Stone, but he's not wrong: potions are one of the most interesting and dangerous things in the wizarding universe. And they always play an important role in the adventures of the trio of Ron, Hermione and Harry: in second year, Hermione brews the Polyjuice Potion for the three of them to find out what Malfoy has to do with the strange happenings at Hogwarts. Dolores Umbridge tries to get information out of her rebellious students with Veritaserum. And in sixth year, it's all about potions after Harry finds a mysterious textbook.
Get your very own potion in the house now for a bit of Hogwarts spirit.
The officially licensed Harry Potter tea light lava lamp "Poison Bottle" comes straight from the dungeons of Hogwarts, where Snape and later Slughorn taught potions. The glass container with the blue liquid bears the inscription "Potion No. 07" and a warning label. To make it bubble like in potions class, you don't need any muggle stuff like electricity or batteries, just a tea light that you place in the metal bowl under the lamp. The heat causes the dark blue "lava" to start moving after around 20-40 minutes.
Caution: Make sure that you use the lamp on a heat-resistant surface.
The lamp is only intended as an eerie bubbling decoration and is not to be consumed under any circumstances - no amount of bezoar will help.
