When you weigh yourself, the Withings Online Scale connects via WiFi to the manufacturer's server and transmits the current weight to it. You can then use your computer or smartphone to access an online application where your data is analyzed and displayed as a progress curve. The Withings Online Scale not only measures body weight but also body fat mass and lean body mass. Additionally, it can calculate the Body Mass Index. Besides the extensive online analysis, the data is of course also displayed directly on the scale when weighing.
Up to 8 people can use the analysis software via one scale and thus keep track of their weight progression - without any time limit. Especially geeky: You can automatically publish your weight daily on Twitter! If you even "share" your meals with your followers, then be consistent and also inform them about your weight!
Since the scale has a programming interface, you can also write your own applications that access the weight data.
The Withings Online Scale not only has an elegant design but is also very high quality. Its surface is made of hardened glass with a metal coating. The display has backlighting and is therefore particularly easy to read.
It measures 32x32x2.3cm and weighs 2.3 kg. It supports a maximum weight of 180 kg. The display is 62x40mm in size.
The package includes, in addition to the scale, 4 AAA batteries (which are required for operation), a 1.5m long USB cable, 4 feet for weighing on carpet, and a measuring tape for calculating the Body Mass Index.
