You can recognize cool guys by the fact that they wear a cap.
For example, Mario and Luigi or Link from The Legend of Zelda. The Pokémon Trainer Ash also wears a headgear. They are all cool.
Who doesn't wear a cap? Dr. Eggman for example (cyber glasses do not count as a full headgear), Guile (he only wears a silly hairstyle that looks like a hat) or Giana and Maria, who wear punk hairstyles and are therefore per se uncool.
Hmm, okay. The rule doesn't quite apply. The Giana Sisters are cool, even without a hat. But exceptions confirm the rule :) Otherwise, the rule is: All the cool kids are wearing hats.
