Description Fuel cell car
It has long been no secret that we are running out of fossil fuels. An alternative is energy production from hydrogen.
Through the process of electrolysis, for example, hydrogen can be obtained from water, which in turn is converted into electrical energy in a fuel cell.
This is also how the fuel cell car works.
The fuel cell car, just like our H-Racer 2.0 hydrogen car, is a kit that must first be assembled, for which no additional tools are required except for a pair of scissors.
The design of the fuel cell car is rather simple, but it allows a direct view of the components such as the motor or the fuel cell, enabling a more scientifically oriented interaction with the car.
The fuel cell car features a combined PEM fuel cell, in which both electrolysis (i.e., the production of hydrogen and oxygen from water) and the conversion of hydrogen into electrical current take place. With this version, you can even watch the oxygen and hydrogen gases form in the two transparent water tanks.
To start the electrolysis, you first need a little electricity. This is generated by connecting the supplied solar panel. If the sun is not shining, you can also use the included battery pack.
Of course, the fuel cell car can also drive autonomously with the energy generated in this way. Moreover, it even changes direction by 90° on its own when it hits an obstacle.
To ensure you enjoy the fuel cell car for a long time, please use only distilled water to operate it.
The fuel cell car comes with an English-language manual that provides excellent support for assembly and commissioning. If you still have questions, our support team at info@getdigital.de will be happy to help.
