Almost everyone nowadays has a red laser pointer - for geeks, who of course always need extraordinary gadgets, they are therefore rather unsuitable. But a green laser pointer is still something really special. Additionally, it is also more practical: Since the eye perceives green light significantly better than red light, the beam of a green laser pointer appears significantly brighter than that of a red laser pointer. Due to the additional high power of this laser pointer, the beam is visible for several hundred meters (but always make sure not to endanger people or animals!).
The green laser pointer emits green light with a wavelength of 532nm and has a power of < 1mW (Class 2).
