Description Matias Wireless Mini Secure Pro Keyboard

Many mechanical keyboards are large, heavy and difficult to transport. Wireless mini models, on the other hand, are difficult to obtain as mechanical keyboards, often suffer from short battery life and have problems with so-called ghosting. And who wants to settle for a 'rubber dome' model?

Matias has now launched a keyboard that combines the advantages of a mechanical keyboard with the benefits of a wireless connection and also encrypts the data transmission of inputs.

Compact, light and quiet
Mechanical keyboards are heavy. A steel plate and the individually installed switches significantly increase the weight compared to plastic models. The Mini Secure Pro weighs just 950g and has compact dimensions of 34cm x 16.5cm x 4cm, making it ideal for transportation. The used Quiet Switches prevent the typical staccato of a mechanical keyboard.

1600 mAh battery
A built-in rechargeable battery guarantees a long battery life. In normal use, the keyboard only needs to be charged every 6-12 months, which takes around 5 hours with the USB cable supplied. If the keyboard is connected via USB, the 2 remaining USB ports can be used to charge devices, provided there is a 1A charging port. Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer data from connected USB devices.

Nano-USB adapter
The nano-USB adapter provides an excellent connection. The special feature of the keyboard here is a 128-bit AES-encrypted connection. Eavesdropping on the 2.4 GHz transmission is therefore virtually impossible. The high polling rate of 200Hz avoids a noticeable latency between typing and the actual input. Many wireless keyboards have a lower rate to save battery power.

Anti-ghosting circuit
Many wireless keyboards do not cope with certain key combinations, duplicate inputs or swallow some letters. Matias has in Mini Secure Pro has installed a circuit to circumvent precisely this problem.

Laser engraved buttons
To prevent the key lettering from fading, the lettering was engraved by laser. This ensures a long service life. In addition, the keys are designed with finger-friendly molded recesses to ensure a better grip for the finger.

Multimedia keys
The Mini Secure Pro also has audio and media control buttons for volume control and faster navigation through music or movie software. These are activated with the function key.

The keyboard is perfectly suited to the needs of busy typists who have to share their office with colleagues - but of course you can also play with it :)

Note: A hid_apple driver is required under Linux, and a few things must also be taken into account when configuring the module, e.g. to ensure that the FN keys function correctly. The keyboard is not recognized under Linux during the boot process.

The keyboard can also be used under Mac OS, but the Alt + Windows keys must be changed to Option + Command in the settings.
