The beautiful thing about one's own field is that not every noob can butt in. That's why most people you run into, for example while shopping, won't immediately understand this T-shirt. I love chemistry would of course be easier to understand, but honestly, would you trust someone with such a phrase? They probably only completed the basic course in 7th grade or watched the first episode of Breaking Bad, if at all.
So that you really only get a thumbs-up from like-minded people when they see you in your new shirt, we didn't choose the vague esoteric term of love, but the tangible structural formula for oxytocin. As chemists and biologists know, this hormone is responsible, among other things, for the innate, strong love between mother and newborn. So approximately what you feel when you think about your beautiful lab. ;)
So if the mere orderly depiction of a hormone causes a release of oxytocin in you, you know what to do. By the way, the release can also be triggered by skin contact, for example when the wonderfully cool organic cotton of our shirts touches you. :)
