Description Plasma disc
This plasma disc impressively demonstrates physical effects and should therefore not be missing in any geek room. When you turn on the disc, you can watch the fascinating play of flickering light flashes and even control them through sounds or touches!
The functional principle is as follows: Between two glass discs, there are glass shards, and between these shards, there is a noble gas which is excited and made to glow by extremely high voltages. What is visible is the flow of electrons through the gas. When you touch the disc, part of the current flows through your hand and the light effects change (due to the low current strength, this is completely harmless). Additionally, background noises are registered and the disc turns on and off according to the music (this function can be optionally turned off).
The disc has a diameter of approximately 15 cm and requires a 230V connection (Euro plug). It is available in orange and blue.
