Description The Art of Science board game
If you play this game, your head will be spinning! You'll need solid knowledge in the fields of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and technology. There is also an area with various science questions that cannot be categorized.
The highlight of this game is that you can choose the order in which the categories are scored. The category that suits you best is then at the top of the score card. This means that biologists and mathematicians can compete against each other and have (almost) equal chances. You can also influence the length of the game by setting different point targets (20, 30, 42).
This is how you play:
After everyone has filled in their score cards and determined the order of the categories, the game begins! In the first round, a player places their playing piece anywhere on the board and is asked a question from the category indicated by the color (green is biology, for example). If he answers correctly, he wins the number of points shown on the field and enters this on his score card. The other players must also answer a question from this field with the same number of points. In the next rounds, the dice are rolled in turn and different points can be won for the various categories depending on the field (color). The aim is to fill all categories with points according to the length of the game.
But be careful, points can also be lost again if the category is not yet complete! Among other things, this is ensured by various action fields that invite players to duels, for example.
If you get stuck, you can ask another player for advice - but you have to share the points with them... The Art Of Science is basically easy to play, but the questions are tough and the action fields mean there are a few surprises in store.
Please note that the game is currently only available in English.
If you are studying or have studied one of the subject areas, you will probably also read specialist literature in English. In "The Art Of Science", special scientific terms are often used and your (technical) English should be correspondingly good.
