Description Trackstick II
The Trackstick is a small GPS receiver that constantly records the current position where it is located. The stored data can then be read out later via USB and then transferred to Google Earth, for example. Google Earth can then play the visited places as a video with satellite images.
Recording
The Trackstick stores its own position, current time, speed, and current altitude in two selectable time intervals. It has over 1MB of storage capacity and can therefore theoretically store data for over a month. For proper function, there must be no large objects between the Trackstick and the satellites, so the device does not work in buildings.
Data Format
The stored data can be output in various formats. Available formats are RTF (with Google Map links), CSV, HTML (with maps), and KML (proprietary Google Earth format). Google Earth can then create such videos or comfortably display the stored positions (see further images).
Further Information
The Trackstick has a splash-proof housing and also a removable belt clip.
