We know you're big fans of the TV-B-Gone series and that's why the 5th generation of the fun off-switches is finally here!
The new TV-B-GONE Pro SHP (Super High Power) naturally offers the features of the old versions (switching the TV off and on again), but also has some cool new features. The rechargeable battery is more powerful than the batteries in the predecessor and can be easily recharged using the socket adapter supplied. In contrast to the old versions, the new model has a total of 8 infrared transmitters and can therefore reach televisions up to 100m away.
Of course, all the codes from the previous versions are also included, so that a good 90% of all television models can be switched off. The switch at the bottom of the device, which allows you to switch between Europe and North America, is really great. Finally you can troll internationally! :) Of course, the TV-B-GONE Pro SHP also works outside of North America and Europe: in Asia, for example, the NA setting works quite well, while the manufacturer recommends the EU setting for Australia.
Incidentally, a TV-B-GONE model was "tested" by a Gizmodo employee at the Consumer Electronics Show in 2008 and caused many TVs to be switched off. Unfortunately, he was caught. The inventor of the TV-B-GONE has also made sure that the new model is inconspicuous: there is a "stealth" mode and paired with the look of a smartphone, the new device is hardly noticeable.

1. switch the TV-B-GONE Pro SHP to "stealth mode" so that it flashes less.
2. never look at the TV you want to switch off or on!
3. pretend you are using your smartphone.
