Description We are building a nuclear power plant
Every year at Christmas and on birthdays, nerd parents can ask themselves anew how they can gently introduce their offspring to the natural sciences. As long as you don't have the next Stephen Hawking or Einstein running around with you, you have to simplify complex topics a little for the little ones (and also for many grown-up nerds).
The "Let's build a nuclear power station" kit combines the complex topic of nuclear energy with child-friendly building fun in an excellent way. The set contains everything you need for a functioning miniature reactor: A combustion chamber, a small uranium roda functioning cooling system, a neutron accelerator and, of course, a safety dome. The surroundings of German nuclear power plants can also be realistically recreated with trees, houses and cows. After all, they would like to have a nice nuclear power plant.
Now some of you may be wondering: "Can it really explode?" In this respect, the kit is true to its great role models: If you make a mistake, there is a small explosion. Not really, of course, it's for children. But it goes poof, the cows fall over and the little houses and trees. There's always a big Hallori. But real nerds always stick strictly to the instructions. And anyway, nuclear energy is completely safe anyway... ;)
