Description Dino Pet bioluminescent aquarium
It's lucky we didn't hire Rambo to write our product texts. Otherwise it would just be written here: "What's that? - A DinoPet bioluminescent aquarium. - And what does it do? - It glows blue." Of course, you could leave it at that, but it wouldn't do justice to the biological phenomenon that takes place in this dinosaur.
Because in this aquarium, which outwardly resembles a dinosaur, you can keep real dinoflagellates! And they also glow blue! Because if you move the aquarium gently and feed the little prehistoric creatures regularly, they start to glow naturally. Of course, they won't replace your flashlight, but it's still fascinating to see what tricks nature has up its sleeve.
In addition to the aquarium and instructions, you will also receive a card with a code that you can use to order a load of flagellates and food from the manufacturer free of charge. (Please note: Shipping to Germany, France, Great Britain and the Netherlands is free of charge - shipping to other countries will incur additional shipping costs). So you can be sure that you will receive your dinos without detours and intermediate stops and that they won't get bored in our warehouse ;) Dinos are shipped from Glasgow and take an average of 3 working days.
One last note: "gentle movement" really means gentle. So please don't shake the aquarium like a cocktail shaker. And also the regular feeding - according to the instructions - do not forget ;)
Finally a few Notes on keepingDinoflagellates can reproduce practically endlessly, so with the right husbandry you will be able to enjoy blue light for a long time ;) To ensure that your dinos feel comfortable, they should enjoy between 8 and 14 hours of moderate sunlight per day and an ambient temperature of 17-25 degrees Celsius. The little rascals consume around 50 ml of nutrient fluid per week, so one bag will last around a month.
